St Paul’s Church is 150 years old

To celebrate the 150 anniversary of St Paul’s Church, Helsby and to further develop our community links, we were asked to help create a logo for the anniversary year. Hannah S in Year 10 has created a beautiful logo design that St Paul’s can use in its anniversary year.

We are very proud of Hannah, as she has shown both reliability and professionalism in the creation of her design. Hannah was able to listen very carefully to the brief as outlined by the Rev Graham Green from St Paul’s and translated this into a beautiful watercolour design.

Hannah’s designs were given to a local designer who used her actual watercolour as part of the finished design as well as changing the colour hue for different types of events at the church. Rev Green was so impressed with Hannah’s design that he felt compelled to write to her to express his gratitude. We are so pleased that one of our students has been able to contribute to our community.

Helsby High School will also be helping to celebrate 150 years of St Paul’s by holding a special music concert in the beautiful space. The event which will take place in April 2020 is set to be a wonderful occasion and we hope to see as many friends, families and community members there as possible.
