Helsby students compete in Warhammer semi-finals

“For the first time from Helsby, 4 students competed as a team which made it through the regional round to participate in the Warhammer ‘Kill Team’ semi-finals. They performed extremely well and were very supportive of each other, as well as supporting other less experienced students to compete against them as opponents. They achieved a strong score and only narrowly missed out on progressing to the final round!

Isaac S explains “The semi-finals competition was held at Games Workshop’s Warhammer World in Nottingham. We played on gaming tables in a huge hall with 200-300 students from all over the UK. The staff were really friendly and helped us to learn to play better. Competing against people from other schools – not knowing how good they were going to be or how they might play, was really exciting!’ Isaac S.

All students are very welcome to come and try out the Warhammer Club, which meets in C18 after school every Thursday until 4.30pm. See Mr Jankowski for further details.
