The Steering Group putting together the Frodsham Neighbourhood Plan gave an update to Frodsham Town Council on January 23rd. This covered, what a Neighbourhood Plan is, what progress has been made, what the people of Frodsham are saying and what happens next.
From the survey open to all at www.frodshamplan.org.uk some important information is already emerging.
People are highlighting Frodsham’s heritage, its community spirit, its independent traders, pubs and restaurants and its green belt and spaces among the things they most value about the town. The Steering Group urge everyone to visit the site and make their views heard. All the information generated will be essential in drafting the most appropriate policy statements in the final version of the Plan in order to protect these values into the future and ensure that Frodsham gets the kinds of new development that best match its unique character.
Another opportunity for people to have their say will be on Saturday February 11th at the Frodsham Parish Hall in Church Street between 10am and 4 pm. Hopefully, Helsby High School students will be presenting the findings of their recent student survey during the event. Further details will be appearing on the plan website shortly.
