West Cheshire & Runcorn District Foodbank Donations

If you were not already aware thirteen million people live below the poverty line in the UK, with individuals going hungry every day for a range of reasons.  The Trussell Trust’s 400 strong network of Foodbanks provides a minimum of three days’ emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK.

We are very proud to let you know that during December 2016 our school community and in addition several families in our wider community contributed to our Hamper Appeal.  In doing so we were able to create and deliver hampers to over 100 senior citizens who live within our community.  As a school we were absolutely overwhelmed with the generosity and have also been able to make a significant contribution to two foodbanks within the local area.

We donated 65kg to West Cheshire Foodbank and a staggering 255kg to Runcorn District Foodbank.  We are so pleased that we have been able to make such a sizable donation and to be able to support our local community in such a way.  We look forward to continue to support such a worthwhile cause in 2017.

Thank you so much to all families who contributed to the Hamper Appeal 2016, we really appreciate your support.
