On 23rd December 2016 the school will be having an ‘Own Clothes and Christmas Jumper Day’ to raise money for charity. The money will be divided between Save the Children, Cancer Research UK, local community projects and the Year 11 Prom. Save the Children support emergency and long-term projects for children across the world. Their work enables some children to gain access to things we take for granted such as healthcare and education. Cancer Research UK is primarily concerned with raising money to fund vital research.
To come in to school in your festive or own clothes it will only cost you £1 and this will make a big difference to someone else’s life. Year 11 Prefects will be visiting form rooms week beginning 5th December to collect payment.
Also, throughout December we will be selling personalised Candy Canes to raise funds for the Year 11 Prom. They will each cost £1 and you can write a personalised message, or we can write it for you if you would like to stay anonymous. They will be delivered to the person in the last week of term.
