In the run-up to Armistice Day on the 11th November, which marks the end of World War One, we will be selling a variety of Poppy Appeal merchandise products to raise funds for the Royal British Legion. This will include items such as wristbands, pencils, keyrings, 1916-2016 commemorative badges, and of course the standard paper poppies.
Volunteers will be visiting forms and there will be a stall in the breakout space during lunchtimes both the week before the holidays (starting Monday 24th Oct) and the week after the holidays, (ending Friday 11th Nov) with a minute’s silence in school.
The Royal British Legion is a charity which assists in the rehabilitation of soldiers; providing financial, social and emotional support to members and veterans of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependents. We would therefore appreciate any donations you could give over the duration of the event and hope you get involved in this very worthy cause.
